To learn from the giants around us; better understanding their roots and how they’ve grown into the people that are today.

When I was tasked with finding an industry professional who id like to learn more about, Lee instantly came to mind.
I have followed his work for the past few years and was itching to learn more about his process. We were able to set up a meeting over zoom Lee located in California while I was in Georgia.
After our wonderful conversation it was time to transcribe our interview. I began processing copy and constructing segments for the magazine. Once this was done the design process began, I choose to focus on highlighting Lees work past, current, and future.

I am very thankful to Lee for sharing his story with me. There are so many routes one can choose in following their passions. I was able to learn so much from hearing how Lee got to where he is today.

Artist
Yon is a current story artist at Pixar Animation Studios. His most recent work can be seen in Pixar’s animated feature film “Luca”. In this interview, Yon takes us through a typical day at work, how he got to where he is today, and shares with us some of the things he’s learned along the way.
